Helping extraordinary challenges create a lasting impact

Lee Spencer’s endurance challenges have never been about personal achievement alone.

From ocean crossings to epic feats of endurance, each challenge has carried a bigger purpose: to test what is possible, to challenge perceptions of disability, and to raise vital awareness and funds for the Royal Marines family.

Over the years, Lee has been fortunate to receive generous support from sponsors, partners, businesses, friends, and members of the public who believed in the mission behind the challenge. Their backing helped make the expeditions possible. Their generosity helped the impact go further.

And, in many cases, the funds raised through Lee’s challenges have supported RMA – The Royal Marines Charity, the charity that provides lifelong support to serving and former Royal Marines, their families, and those connected to the Corps.

Every major challenge needs people behind it

Lee is enormously grateful to the organisations and individuals who have helped fund, equip, promote, and support his expeditions over the years. Lee served in the Royal Marines for more than 20 years. The Corps shaped his values, his resilience, and his belief in what ordinary people can achieve when they commit fully to something bigger than themselves.

That connection remains central to his fundraising.

My challenges have always been personal, but they have never just been about me. They have been about showing what is possible and giving something back to the Corps family that has meant so much to me.
