The tone you want in an evening programme

After-dinner speaking is a different job to a keynote. The room has eaten, the energy is different, and the audience wants a shared experience — not a seminar.

Lee’s after-dinner talks are designed to:

  • Hold the room with pace, warmth and natural storytelling
  • Hit the balance between entertaining and meaningful
  • Leave guests talking long after the evening ends
  • Fit your audience — from senior leadership tables to mixed company events

Best for events where…

✅ You want an after-dinner speaker who is funny without forcing it

✅ You need a talk that works for a mixed room (seniority, departments, partners)

✅ You want a message people remember — without turning the evening into a lecture

✅ You value a professional process (briefing, timing, AV clarity)

Not the best fit if…

You want a comedy set, or a roast-style speaker. Lee’s talk is story-led, uplifting and appropriate for corporate settings.

The story, and what it leaves behind

Lee’s journey — from Royal Marine service, through life-changing injury, to world-record endurance — creates a rare combination in an after-dinner room: it’s compelling, surprising, and deeply human.

Typical audience takeaways include:

  • A stronger relationship with challenge and adversity
  • A reminder of what standards and accountability look like in practice
  • A fresh, grounded perspective on dignity, capability and inclusion
  • A shared moment that strengthens the mood of the event (rather than draining it)

After Dinner Formats

Choose the format that fits your running order:

  • 10–20 minutes: perfect for tight awards timelines
  • 20–30 minutes: ideal for most corporate dinners
  • 30–45 minutes: best when the talk is the main feature of the evening
  • Optional Q&A: only if it suits the tone and time available

Delivery: UK-wide and international (in-person). Virtual after-dinner formats are available when appropriate, but most organisers prefer in-room delivery for evening events.

We’ll align on:

  • Your audience profile and event purpose
  • The tone you want (lighter, more reflective, or balanced)
  • Timing, running order, and any sensitivities to avoid
