What is a Bimblecast?

A bimble is military slang for a walk. Depending on who you ask, it can mean a gentle stroll or a brutally challenging trek.

For Lee, it’s become something else entirely.

A Bimblecast is a podcast on the move—real conversations held in the outdoors while walking through some of Britain’s most inspiring landscapes.

Along the way, Lee explores resilience, overcoming adversity, personal growth, and the mindset needed to tackle life’s toughest challenges.

Honest conversations in the great outdoors

Lee’s Bimblecast is built around simple, honest, self-reflective and one-to-one conversations in the great outdoors. In each episode, Lee either walks alone with his drone, or alongside a special guest who is facing, or has faced, mental health challenges, personal setbacks, self-doubt, trauma, pressure, grief, identity struggles, or other issues that may be holding them back.

There is no studio. No script. No performance.

Just two people walking side by side, talking openly about life, resilience, and what it really takes to move forward.

Why Go for a Bimble?

Walking has a way of changing the conversation.

When we walk, we are not trapped behind a desk, across a meeting table, or under bright lights. We move. We breathe. We look ahead. We talk without the pressure of constant eye contact.

For many people, that makes it easier to open up.

Lee uses the bimble as a space for reflection — helping each guest explore what they have been carrying, what may be limiting them, and what might need to change for them to take the next step.

These conversations are not about quick fixes or empty motivation. They are about honesty, perspective, courage, and the quiet power of saying something out loud.

Lee’s Role

Lee Spencer knows what it means to face adversity.

A former Royal Marine Commando, world-record endurance adventurer, amputee, author, and inspirational speaker, Lee has built his life around resilience — not as a slogan, but as a lived reality.

Through his Bimblecast, Lee brings that experience into deeply human conversations.

He listens. He challenges gently. He asks the questions that help people reflect.

And he helps each guest look at what is really holding them back — not with judgement, but with empathy, perspective and humour.

Season 2 Coming Soon…

Lee is busy preparing for season 2 where each episode will feature a different guest, a different walk, and a different conversation.

Some stories are raw. Some are hopeful. Some are uncomfortable. All of them are human.

The aim is not to present perfect endings. It is to show that progress often begins with one honest conversation — and one small step forward.

For Anyone Who Feels Stuck

You do not need to have crossed an ocean, served in the military, or faced something dramatic for your struggle to matter.

Mental health challenges can be quiet.

They can show up as doubt, avoidance, anger, numbness, exhaustion, fear, shame, or the feeling that something in your life is not moving.

The purpose of Lee’s Bimblecast is to remind people that they are not alone — and that talking can be the first step towards change.
